ARREDONDO DRESSAGE SOCIETY AWARDS PROGRAM

 

AWARD YEAR- The award year is from November 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009. All scores must be reported to

the awards chairman by November 15, 2009.

 

ELIGIBILITY- Rider must be a member of ADS at the time the scores are earned and horse must be owned or leased

by ADS member at the time the scores are earned.

 

ELIGIBLE SCORES- Scores must be from current FEI, USEF or USDF tests and earned at USEF/USDF recognized

competitions, USDF Regional competitions, USCTA recognized Horse Trials or Combined Tests, or schooling shows

held in the state of Florida.

 

RECORDED SCORES- Rider is personally responsible for submitting scores to awards chairman by November 15,

2009. Legible copy of front page of test or a USDF score summary sheet will be sufficient.

 

AWARD CATEGORIES

 

HIGH POINT AWARD- One award to be offered at each level, Introductory through Grand Prix. To qualify at each

level, horse/rider team must submit three scores earned from two different judges at a minimum of two

USEF/USDF or USCTA horse shows. Shows may be either recognized or schooling shows. The average of the three

scores will be used.

 

PERPETUAL TROPHY- Award to be offered at each level, Training through Grand Prix. To qualify at each level

horse/rider team must submit all scores earned at USEF/USDF recognized shows, USDF Regional shows and

schooling shows. Training through Fourth level require a minimum of five scores from three different judges at two

different shows. Three scores must be earned from USEF recognized judges. FEI levels have a minimum of

three scores from two different judges at two different shows. Two scores must be earned from USEF

recognized judges. If more than the minimum number of scores is submitted, the lowest scores will be dropped and

the others averaged. Rider will have possession of the perpetual trophy for one year and is responsible for its

return to the awards chairman by December 1st. A horse/rider team is eligible for the perpetual trophy once at each

level.

 

SINGLE SCORE AWARD- Given for a single test score of 65% or better during awards year by horse/rider team.

Different award given each year. Horse/rider combination to receive award only once at a given level.

 

AWARD OF EXCELLENCE- Minimum of three scores of 55% or better per level, three different shows, three

different judges. Scores may be earned on one or more horses, but cannot be won by the same horse/rider team for

the same level more than once. Award to be given at each level, Training through Grand Prix. No time limit on

earning of scores.

 

AMATEUR HIGH POINT- To qualify, rider must meet USEF amateur requirements but does not need to have an

amateur card. Rider must submit three scores earned from two different judges from at least two shows. Scores

need not be earned on the same horse or at the same level.
